Bernama desperate to make UMNO relevant?

Malaysia's National News Agency, Bernama, reported this statement concerning Malaysia's status at the current Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit in Singapore:

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) grouping is still relevant and important to Malaysia as it is a source of large trade and investments, said the Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Mustapa Mohamed.

As such, Malaysia as a small but major trading nation in the world, considers it important to forge good relations with members of the grouping and especially between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the other leaders of Apec.
(Emphasis added)

Small but major? A meaningless statement. The word 'major' is equivalent to 'big', just as 'minor' is 'small'. Such reporting betrays an obvious make-up attempt to makes current ruling party of the nation looks good and relevant.

It has been 20 years since APEC started. What is UMNO-BN doing in this past 20 years?
